I have a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics for Secondary Education from Tennessee Wesleyan College and a Masters Degree from Tennessee Tech in Instructional Leadership.

I am proud to say this is my ELEVENTH year as a MUSTANG! I have taught every age from Freshmen to Seniors and love it all. Some of my favorite experiences here at Walker Valley have been honoring Freshman at the Academy Awards, assisting my Bridge students in completing their basic college math requirements, and being a part of the Walker Valley Color Guard Staff.

I love everything about Walker Valley, in and out of the classroom so I like to stay involved in as many things as possible.  Along with Color Guard, I am one of the Math Department Co-Chairs here at Walker Valley, and help sponsor the STEM Leadership Team.

I teach math in the STEM Academy. I have been married to my husband, Justin, for 7 years and we have a beautiful daughter, Kendall, who will be three in May. We enjoy sports, especially baseball. I grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee and my husband and I both attended Tennessee Wesleyan College in Athens, Tennessee.

I love my job and getting to know my students. I try to make math as enjoyable as possible and help my students not only learn math, but learn how to learn. My goal for this year is to help everyone reach above and beyond their full potential.

Here at Walker Valley, I also help with the Walker Valley Mustang Band! I am honored to get to help Mrs. Stephanie Hunt direct the Color Guard! It is a fantastic way to be a part of the Mustang family outside of the classroom. I teach in the STEM Academy where I also help Mrs. Nicole Gober lead the STEM Student Leadership Team.
