In 1983, I graduated from Lebanon High School, in Lebanon, VA. In 1987, I earned my bachelor's degree from ETSU, majoring in English and minoring in psychology.  In 1998, I attended the National Center for Paralegal Training, in Atlanta, where I received certification as a paralegal.

I began my teaching career in Russell Co., VA, in 1989.  After 10 years there, I stopped teaching to pursue a career as a paralegal.  I was a paralegal for the next three years, working at law firms in both Mobile, AL, and Chattanooga, TN, and later in the legal department of a corporate office in Cleveland, TN.  I eventually returned to the classroom and have been in the Bradley Co. School System for 16 years; the last 14 of those years have been at Walker Valley High School.

Hi!  My name is Sherry Everett and I teach English 12 and psychology here at WVHS.  This is my 26th year of teaching and my 16th in Bradley County.  Prior to coming to Bradley Co., I taught 10 years in my home state of VA; my first 2 years here were spent at Lake Forest Middle School and the rest of the time has been at WV.  I am also a co-sponsor of the National Honor Society.  When I am not at school, you can probably find me watching my 15-yr.-old daughter, Sydney, play softball or volleyball for the Lady Mustangs!  Go 'Stangs!!!
