My name is Kerri Shrestha. I was born in Cleveland, TN.  I teach Biology at WVHS!

I came to work at Walker Valley after 7 years of working in Nepal in the field of education and development.  Before my work in Nepal, I completed a Masters Degree in Education at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL.  I worked as an assistant volleyball coach and taught P.E. part time.  My undergraduate degree was completed at Lee University, where I also played volleyball.

I have lived and travelled in several different countries, including Nepal and Indonesia.  I've travelled a good bit of Southeast Asia and I am fascinated with how religion influences culture in different parts of the world.

My husband, Nabin, and I have two children.  Our son, Everest, is deaf, but uses cochlear implants to hear.  My husband is from Nepal and we speak Nepali and English in our home.

I am one of the founders of the hiking club at WV and also enjoy climbing, biking, and just about anything outdoors.
