Mrs. Manning has taught Algebra, Geometry,  Algebra 2, Algebra 2 Honors, Int. Math 2, Int Math 2 Honors and Statistics at Walker Valley High School for 10 years. Prior to working at Walker Valley, she worked for 7 years at Athens Junior High School where she also coached the girl's soccer program for 5 years. Prior to that, she worked in the McMinn County school system at various positions for 3 years. For the past 5 years, Ms. Manning has also been a sponsor for the Speech and Debate Club where she has coached the Debate teams. The debate teams have been successful, even placing in the State Tournament Semi finals.  


Mrs. Manning is originally from Charlottesville, VA. and both she and her husband are graduates of Virginia Tech University. She originally worked for the U.S. Forest Service on the Francis Marion National Forest in South Carolina, and then moved to Tennessee.She started teaching at Athens Junior High in Athens, TN, and then moved to Walker Valley High School. She and her husband have two children, Travis is also a graduate of Virginia Tech in Industrial and Systems Engineering, with both his undergraduate and master's degrees from Va. Tech, and Jocelyn, who is a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College in Accounting, and an MBA from Bryan College.  They spend their free time in the fall following Va. Tech football and attending as many games as possible. GO HOKIES!!!!!
