Walker Valley High School
Business Education Teacher since 2004

Following my graduation from Tennessee Wesleyan College, I was employed as an Accountant at Bowater, Inc., for 27 years.  In 2003 I took early retirement and entered the MAT program at Lee University, Cleveland, TN where I received my Masters of Arts in Teaching in 2004.  I have just completed my 8th. year as a Business Teacher at Walker Valley High School.

I am married to Luajean Bryan, who retired as a Math Teacher at Walker Valley High, but is now teaching math part time at Candies Creek School.     My wife and I have two wonderful little granddaughters, Katie and Lauren Bacon, and a grandson Will.  We enjoy taking them to Dollywood and other fun places.

I enjoy gardening, traveling to historic cities, and photography.  I am president of the Charleston-Calhoun-Hiwassee Historical Society where I am now working with many other individuals in securing grants and funding for The Hiwassee River Heritage Center, an intrepretive center for the local area spotlighing Civil War and Cherokee Indian sites in the area.

At Walker Valley High I am the Webmaster for the school website, Business Department Chair, and FBLA advisor.  I also serve on Bradley County School's Technology Committee.

I have had the pleasure of being Bradley County's Teacher of the Year 2014-15, Tennessee's FBLA Adviser of the Year 2014 and WDEF's Golden Apple Award winner in 2011.
